Thank you for an amazing first week since our spawn. Our team is already working on the first roadmap features and we’re excited to make some crazy cool announcements over the next coming weeks. But first, we’re psyched to be here today to talk about a new feature that we’re now ready to bring to avaxwarriors.io.
Introducing the AVAXWARRIOR Workshop.
The AVAXWARRIOR Workshop is a new feature that directly targets the floor price for the AVAXWARRIOR collection by creating incentive to collect lower priced warriors. However, the Workshop feature won’t only target the floor price. Workshop will also seek to drive value into the collection by turning AVAXWARRIORS into a deflationary asset.
That’s right. Floor sweeping just became massively worthwhile and AVAXWARRIORS just became deflationary.
How does it work?
The Workshop will open for limited timeframes throughout the year. Each opening window will be known as a Workshop season. Within each season, Rare weapons, skins and other assets will be available for users through upgrading a Warrior. Some of these items will be published before hand so users are aware of what’s up for grabs. Whilst a few surprise items will remain a secret. Upgraded items will effect the relevant metadata and BattleStats and they will be added to the relevant warrior artwork associated to your tokens.
By using the Workshop, users will be able to select an owned Warrior of choice and nominate them for a Workshop Upgrade. This Warrior will then be marked to our contracts as ‘due for upgrade.’
The upgrades given to a Warrior are randomly selected from a list of the Workshop Season items that have been created. All new rare items have been created with a view to ensure that previously rare items are still valued, whilst also allowing space for the new rare items to flourish into the collection. Meanwhile within the mix of Workshop Season items there are also a few rare older items that will return just to keep things interesting.
Before confirming a Warrior as ready for Upgrade, the user will be required to pay for their upgrade.
To pay for an upgrade the user must select owned warriors to be burned.
For the first 666 upgrades, the upgrade cost is 2 burned warriors.
For the final 334 upgrades, the upgrade cost is 3 burned warriors.
These warriors can be sourced from our current marketplaces such as GetKalao and NFTrade.
To burn warriors, users will simply select them and complete the burn action within the Workshop area of our site.
On our side, we will then randomly allocate new items and metadata to any Warriors that are marked, ‘due for upgrade.’ For each time the Workshop opens, we will only allow for a total of 1,000 upgrades and for future seasons, this number will change. This is due to the considerable amount of time required to alter both the artwork and metadata.

Season 1 information
Start date: Monday 14 / 02 / 2022–3pm UTC
End date: Monday 28 / 02 / 2022–3pm UTC
Maximum amount of upgraded warriors: 1,000
The season will end on either the end date or the maximum amount of warriors upgraded. Whichever comes first.
Conclusion
We’ve got plenty of tricks up our sleeves that we will launch outside of the main roadmap deliverables. These side features are intended to keep things interesting and drive value into AVAXWARRIORS and our members during the wait for new roadmap features.
